With a list of supporters that reads like a ‘who’s who’ in trance music, including Tiësto, Paul Van Dyk, and Gareth Emery, Dennis Sheperd is in a prime position to launch his own record label. His collaborations with Markus Schulz, Rank1 and Ronski Speed plus remixes for Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren are just a small nod to the respect he holds across the scene. This undeniable talent is set to come into play as he adopts his new role as Head A&R for A Tribute To Life.

A Tribute To Life stands for freedom of creativity in electronic music, releasing killer cuts from the Dennis Sheperd studio in Berlin plus tracks from artists both established and new. There are no formulas, no rules, and no trends to follow. Unquestionably, trance is the cornerstone of A Tribute To Life, but it’s not purely about the trance scene. Quite simply put, if it’s good, it works for the label, regardless of genre.

Dennis Sheperd said: “I wanted to create a label where no one is telling me how a record should sound, or where there are musical borders to fit a certain label’s style. Freedom of creativity is so important to me and through A Tribute To Life, I will have complete and utter freedom.

“The ‘A Tribute To Life’ name means a lot to me – I’ve used it for my debut artist album, single in 2007 and also my radio show, because I have been very lucky to have lived the life I have up until now, and A Tribute To Life, in all its forms, is my way to give life in general, and the people in it, something back; a 'thank you' if you will!”

‘Bring You Home’ begins with a punching kick drum before the angelic vocals of Chloe Langley feed in – a vocalist well known to Dennis Sheperd fans having featured on previous releases ‘Freefalling’ and ‘Not Too Late’. The melody teases through and the uplifting tone sets in, until the track breaks down with just the right amount of ‘tough’ combined with uplifting keys and feel-good vibes throughout.

Another huge release for A Tribute To Life will be the highly anticipated, second artist album from Dennis Sheperd, ‘Fight Your Fears’, due out late 2014.
